Otherworld is a book balancing two separate narratives, one set in the real world, and the other in a fantastical digital reality. I was excited to read Otherworld for the latter. However, it seems that this novel is meant to appeal to gamers, but hasn't the faintest idea what a video game is.

The book musters an intriguing love story balanced 4/4(). The book would benefit from a stronger presence from Kat, who seems too much the standard damsel in distress, but Simon is a protagonist worth following through a series of online adventures.

Readers familiar with cyberpunk may wish for a newer wrinkle, but many more will be primed for the next book in the series from Jason Segel and Kirsten 4/5. Otherworld is a book that is interesting from beginning to end and that features an amazing concept.

Its definitely worth buying once it comes out at the end of October. Whilst reading this book, I was reminded that I can be a bit dense at times, despite being an university graduate/5.
